In a culture that can make us feel self-conscious or
competitive about dancing, we've forgotten how wonderful
it feels to move the body and how speical it can be
so share that with others in a non-judgmental atmosphere.
A supportive space for a positive, guided, creative
group dance experience for everyone, of all ages, shapes
and sizes. Here it will be easy and enjoyable to move
as you follow the movements in your own style, there
is no right or wrong.
Through various structured explorations, we'll dance
alone and together, accompanied by some great music,
in a softly lit room. Non-judgemental, non-technical,
light and fun! An expression and expansion of self and
spirit, this is a wonderful way to exercise, dissipate
stress, and introduce yourself to the world of dance.
No experience needed, only the desire to discover the
creative dancer within! Includes light stretching and
strengthening.
Usually offered as a 1-1/2 hour or longer workshop;
or a series of five, 1-1/2 hour weekly classes. Age
10 thru adult, safe for seniors and those who have somehow
found themselves "out of shape" in mid-life!
Wear comfortable clothes, dress in layers (for changing
temperatures like from sitting still or moving lots),
bring water bottle, indoor-only dance shoes or slippers
if you can't dance barefoot, and a blanket or towel
or yoga mat to make the floor more comfortable.

"How
grateful I am for the dance sessions. They were
incredibly uplifting experiences for me. The candlelight
poses we did at the end were so magical and connective.
When you gave thanks for the dancers in our circle,
I truly felt YES! I am a dancer! Thank you for
giving the gift of your spirit and passion in
sharing this with us. Any Spring or Summer sessions?!"
