Tuning
and
Repair

Does your djembe's sound need improving? Has your old conga drum head split? Does the woodwork on your drum need some attention? Does the rim of your djembe hurt your hand when you play?

Djembes, congas, even dun duns, doumbeks and tablas can be professionally repaired here.

Fine-tuning, reheading, all repairs, and generous assistance with any drum problems you're having, are offered by our expert drum doctor, Jeff Hanna.

Jeff has spent his lifetime refining his music, along with his woodworking and mechanical skills. He spent 20 years as a professional wooden boat builder, his workmanship prized in the field.

Currently playing most styles of hand drums has prepared Jeff for making, repairing and re-heading all types of drums since 1995.

As an experienced woodworker as well as hand-drummer, he has combined his knowledge in both arenas to arrive at what makes the most aesthetic looking and sounding instruments.

Your instrument will be given a new lease on life! And Jeff will teach you how to maintain your drum, so that it will give you many more years of playing pleasure.

Serving the Sarasota and greater Gulf Coast area, and Central and Southern Maine.
